Introducing " PORTFOLIO " a HyperCard Home Stack replacement and Macintosh Finder substitute which will allow us to organize and keep track of
( ALL ) our HyperCard StackWare, Stand Alone Applications, Documents and Desk Accessory. By using the index tabs to the right, we can easily organize and navigate our Portfolio \ HyperCard \ Macintosh environment. Here is an example we can do after you have finished reading this card.
Lets file the "Address" stack that came with HyperCard under the
letter " A ". To do this we would...
1) Click the letter "A" located in the index tab to the right.
[ This will take us to the "A" card. Note the Location Marker on card "A" ]
2) Click and hold down the BUTTON ICON, on card "A".
[ 3rd button from the top. This will activate a POPUP MENU ]
3) Select the first item in the popup menu "Add HyperCard Stack... ".
4) Locate and select the "ADDRESS" stack from the open dialog box.
5) Sit back and watch as Portfolio does the rest!
6) Once 'Portfolio' has finished naming and linking the "ADDRESS" stack;
you may modify / move the address file by placing the cursor on top of
the icon and then press the option or command key. You may also modify
any button by selecting the button icon from the tool box menu; then
double click on any button. SEE ABOUT BUTTONS FOR MORE INFO.
NOTE: Stand Alone Applications, Documents and DA's are filed in the same
manner.
NOTE: You can add a new card at any time by first selecting the card that
you wish to duplicate. Then select the "NEW CARD" command from
